Annemarie Graupner was born in Bern in 1920. First she studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Hermann Kaspar and Julius Hess. From 1950 onwards, the first textile formats and tapestries were created alongside small-format pictures. In 1953 she married the painter and draftsman Ernst Graupner. Annemarie Graupner died in Munich in 2004.
